Paint pouring, fluid pour, flow art or liquid art are just some of the names of this creative and innovative form of abstract art.
Acrylic paint colors with a variety of additives, such as paint conditioner, Elmer’s’ Glue, silicone, and even hair products react to create colorful, mesmerizing patterns.
Experimenting with an assortment of techniques such as dirty pour, swiping, dipping, swirling, combined with balloons, bottle bottoms, toilet paper rolls or even a kitchen sink strainer produces beautiful and fascinating paintings.
Manipulating the paint with drinking straws, hair dryers or an air brush can further add to these intriguing designs.
Here's some of my recent paintings, overall on the left, with a close-up on the right.
